About AGA get to know us

Founded by Adam Gibbons, a state registered and nationally affiliated architect, AGA offers the expertise and talent of a large firm with the intimacy and accessibility of a small firm.  At AGA, we are proud to represent only a select number of clients at a time, in an effort to provide personalized and timely service and the very best designs possible.

AGA begins every relationship by listening carefully to each client. This is the key to our design philosophy. The personal connection we form with every client is what allows insight into their dreams and aspirations. Ultimately, we use these intangibles to create a truly custom architectural design that reflects our client’s vision.

Our architect/client team approach makes for a very creative, thoughtful collaboration. We encourage our clients to immerse themselves in an interactive design process—from initial concept through every detailed decision.

AGA has established a reputation as one of the finest architectural firms on the North Shore. We are sought after for our ability to service a diverse range of custom designs. This reputation for excellence with historical organizations, as well local and regional groups, has occurred through improving the lives of families and communities through architecture.

MEET ADAM

  • Adam Gibbons

  • Principal Architect

Adam Gibbons began his Architectural career in New England in 2000; he relocated from Buffalo, New York to the Boston area to work on the Boston University Agganis Arena and Recreation Center with Cannon Design. During his employ with Cannon Design his career path made a turn from recreation design to research laboratory design. This decision eventually lead him to work with The Stubbins Associates in 2002 to take part in the renovation and retrofit of the NECCO candy factory in Cambridge for conversion into the Novartis National Headquarters and Research Facility. After the completion of the NECCO project in 2004, Adam was hired by the Payette Associates as part of their laboratory design team where he continued to focus and hone his skills over the next six years on a variety of projects as a technical research laboratory designer.

In 2010, Adam said goodbye to Payette and his research design team and opened the doors to AGA Designs, LLC in Georgetown, Massachusetts. By applying his technical skills to the private sector Adam has had the great pleasure of working with clients across a broad range of project types,  including single family residences, multi-family conversions, condominium renovations, retail showrooms, and corporate interiors, all the while, acting as the owner’s representative throughout every stage of design and construction.
